New Breyer: Cupcake

I ordered Cupcake on Sunday and he actually arrived yesterday (Thursday). Cupcake was a 2009 special run for breyer fest 2009 on the newsworthy jumping pony mould, in total 1050 were made.
This little guy is a beautiful glossy honey bay, pictures really do not do him justice!
Cupcake is now living on my shelves with my little newsworthy conga consisting of, Enchanted Forest, Ballou and now Cupcake. I hope to get newsworthy for my conga one day.
Cupcake is possibly one of my new favorites and I usually hate glossy's! He's currently in need of a barn and show name so any suggestions in the comments are greatly appreciated!

Breyer review: Marwai!

I'm sure you have all seen him, it's the new marwai from the breyer 2013 range and he seems to be very popular among all kinds of collectors so I thought I would share my views on him.

I ordered my model from Utterly Horses and he arrived very nicely packaged and in mint condition I couldn't find a single mark in his finish. His colour is also stunning as he's not as metalic and shiny as most of breyers other palominos such as 'Sunny' or 'Big Chex To Cash'.

overall his conformation is pretty good, however I'm not the biggest fan of the tail which is actually attached to the models side but he has so many other nice features I can over look that.Speaking of nice features his face is absolutely adorable even if he does look grumpy!
As for his ears which are a rather important part of any marwai model (in my opinion) they are definatly curved and I don't really have many problems with them but I think I would prefer it if his ears where forward and a little more curved, maybe even touching like some marwai's ears do.

I have heard a number of people commenting on his size and I have to admit he's rather small but he kind of suits it, little 'n' grumpy as I like to call him. For those of you who don't own him or are thinking about getting him I thought I would compare him to the size of a rather common mould in this case ravel.

Hello!

Welcome to my blog!
Image is copyright to me, do not use without my permission

I hope to post here regularly but still keep the posts exciting.

I suppose I will start by telling you a little about me and my collection, I have been collecting for a few years now I'm not sure exactly how many 3-4 possibly more I don't really count and I now own a considerably large collection consisting of all sizes makes and finishes from peter stones to breyers to schleich to mini whinnies, I have a little bit of everything and my models have there own dedicated room. As well as collecting I enjoy making tack and other accessory's now and again for my models.
